It seems the 5.6 download from forticlient.com no longer offers you the VPN only install option. Is this gone? Is it coming back? For customers with a pre-existing AV solution, installing full forticlient alongside is a recipe for blue screens. We need a VPN only install option. FortiClient 5.6 'custom' install with INSTALLLEVEL=3 and registry modifications – got all working except VPN not displaying in GUII'm trying to set up a silent install of FortiClient 5.6 that basically only supports SSL. I know I could use the SSLVPN application instead, but I'd rather install the actual FortiClient during initial roll-out to allow us to enable more features in the future if desired. Bear with the length of this post as I'm really only having difficulty with one thing at this point, and I feel like it's a registry/XML .conf setting I'm missing. Touch your heart 16. Sampling from the top comment in this post, I've written a simple batch file that does the following: Here are the contents of the .reg file: It basically turns off a bunch of unwanted features and sets the startpage to VPN. The problem I'm running into is the VPN option on the left is actually missing from the GUI. I also can't get the Compliance section to go away (even with setting 0 in the XML and importing again; it just sets back to 1). If I click Compliance, I can't get back to VPN since the option is missing unless I restart the client. I do have tl;dr Does anyone know any other setting that would influence these options in the GUI?
